I don't know what makes me blog about this beautiful dusk, is it the sheer beauty of the skies or the lazy Sunday or is it the songs on my headphones ? I guess I will find the answer as I write the blog. Well this particular Sunday was really special and you will know soon why it was so special.
As usual I got up a bit late, wait not that late as you get up ;) I was up by 7.30 in the morning and did my morning chores, watched Satyamev jayate and then it was lunch time. After that i was in my room trying to finish some of my office work. Well I guess you are wondering why I was working on Sunday. Thats because being alone in the entire hostel I had nothing to do and also I love my job you see ;) Then it was around 6 in the evening that I went outside. Usually the rains visit Ujire every time of the day in the monsoon season and especially the evenings are always rainy. But then this Sunday was different. It was not raining. So, I took my head phones and a book and went outside. The hostel has a wooden bench outside which is green in color and a beautiful garden rite in front of the bench. A group of trees, a little further makes it perfect and gives a nice feeling of you being surrounded by nature. When you sit on the bench you can the tall mountains belonging to the Western Ghats range during summers but it's monsoon so all I can stare at is the beautiful sky. I had taken my head phones, and a book. I made my way to the bench and started listening to some songs. The fact that there was no one around except the watchman sitting in front of the hostel made me feel really comfortable and peaceful. And note that I always keep my playlist in 'Shuffle' because I love randomness and especially the feeling of surprise I get when my mobile plays a song that is perfect for the situation and my mood.
As it was getting dark, I could see the clouds slowly covering the sky. A cool breeze was blowing that was bringing more clouds and I could see how the clouds were playing hide and seek with the blue sky. To my surprise my mobile was playing all romantic songs and the cool breeze made sure there was a feel of romance in the air. I was watching this particular a group of two clouds coming together slowly. It was like they were trying to kiss tenderly and you know what.. I could hear the song 'Pehla Nasha' in my head phones. Wow .. It was perfect !! I loved every bit of the dusk. I could see birds flying, I guess they were going home. I was watching the different shades the sky was displaying in the evening. I enjoyed doing nothing !! I discovered the pleasure of doing nothing. Ultimately what makes me blog about this evening ? I think the sheer beauty of the moment - beautiful things coming together at the rite time, at the rite place had given me a deep sense of happiness and made me capture the special moment at least in words and memories if not in pictures !!
